Anti Ragging Environment

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ANTI RAGGING COMMITTEE AND FLYING SQUAD

In order to prevent ragging in the college campus, following are some of the steps to be taken.

1. Two committees have been formed, namely Anti ragging committee and Flying squad.

2. The anti ragging committee and flying squad shall address the senior students at frequent intervals to create the knowledge, awareness and vigilance of the ragging.

3. The flying squad shall go around the campus, hostel, canteen, library, play ground, sports complex and buses surprisingly to observe the students activities.

4. The committee shall go outside the college campus like BMTC bus stop, hotels, shops to watch the students activities.

5. The committees will meet on every Saturday to review the activities regarding ragging.

6. All HOD’s shall instruct their teaching faculties to give assignments and involve students in academic activities so they wont time for ragging.

7. The HOD’s instruct their teaching faculties to observe students who come late to the classes everyday, particularly 3rd semester students.

8. The class Teacher should monitor the students who will not submit the records in the labs and assignments in time.

9. The HOD’s shall allot the counselor for every 15 students to monitor and advise the students, regarding their studies and behaviour in the college campus. Counselor shall be the teacher allotted lab class.

10. The counselor or mentor should inform their parents periodically about their performances like attendance, test and behaviour.

11. If any untoward incident is occurred inside or outside the college campus in spite of all precautions taken, the committee members should inform immediately to the Principal for taking necessary action.
